The truth of the Scriptures does not demand that the Bible report events with exact, scientific detail (though all the details it does report are true). Nor does it demand that the Bible tell us everything we need to know or ever could know about a subject. It never makes either of these claims. The Bible does not, in its original form, affirm anything contrary to fact.

wonder. everyday.

So often we miss life’s beauty because we are preoccupied by its flaws. Instead of taking off our shoes to feel the feathery soft grass beneath our feet, we complain that it’s growing so fast we don’t have time to mow it. Rather than enjoying the gregarious woman behind the supermarket counter, we blame her friendly chatter for delaying the checkout line. And what about us? Who stares back from the mirror each morning? A child of God who is growing daily in his image or someone whose nose is too big or too small, whose hair is in a state of perpetual rebellion, or whose skin is aged and worn?

Today, ask the God who made you to remake your sense of wonder at his creative power.

You Are More Mild Than Wild

You’re confident, and you really aren’t concerned with how “hot” you are.
Other people’s ideas of what’s sexy don’t concern you. And this is exactly what makes you attractive

You Are Red Orange

You are a very genuine person, although it takes a while for you to show the true you.
A bit introverted, you desire respect and affection from those close to you.
You are quite empathetic, and you have a true concern for the well being of others.
Many people have warm, heartfelt memories of you – even if you don’t remember them well.

see. everyday.

Since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

reality. everyday.

Over time when you purposefully try to live the way of Jesus, you start noticing something deeper going on. You begin realizing the reason this is the best way to live is that it is rooted in profound truths about how the world is. You find yourself living more and more in tune with ultimate reality. You are more and more in sync with how the universe is at its deepest levels.

Jesus’ intention was, and is, to call people to live in tune with reality. He said at one point that if you had seen him, you had “seen the Father”. He claimed to be showing us what God is like. In his compassion, peace, truth telling, and generosity, he was showing us God.

And God is the ultimate reality. There is nothing more beyond God.

You Are Midnight

You are more than a little eccentric, and you’re apt to keep very unusual habits.
Whether you’re a nightowl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence – you like to experiment with your lifestyle.
Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it.
You enjoy staying home, but that doesn’t mean you’re a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends.

identity. everyday.

If Sarah had gone to God’s family wall, she would have found her portrait hanging alongside her brothers. It had been there all along. If she thought her frame was empty until the day she had a baby, she couldn’t have been more mistaken. Sarah was part of God’s family, a true daughter—not an in-law?born to bear God’s image, born to advance his cause. Her identity as a woman was anchored to God, and nothing could ever take that away from her. She was encircled in his love every bit as much as Abraham, only she was so distracted by her barrenness, she couldn’t see how much she mattered to God.

You Are a Blue Flower

A blue flower tends to represent peace, openness, and balance.
At times, you are very delicate like a cornflower.
And at other times, you are wise like an iris.
And more than you wish, you’re a little cold, like a blue hydrangea.

This afternoon I enjoyed Asain buffet with my sister Allie and then some soccer heaven.  Now is homework.  School has been on the backburner this year, at least compared to previous years.  I guess being forced to go back to Kimberly this year has just tooken ambition out of me.  My motivation for school has always been my passion for learning and doing the things that interest me.  I guess I should be glad that I have such wonderful education oppertunities.  This of which all reminds me that I need to register for classes.  Peace to all.

“When I consider your heavens,
       the work of your fingers,
       the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,

what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?

You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor.”- Pslam 8:3-5

I thought about this as it was mentioned in the Resurection Sunday service this morning.  And it was one of those wow moments.  Spending time in Astronomy class this year really opened how insignificant the Earth seems in the midst of the Universe and even the Milky Way.  And amongst this world how insignificant I musts be.  But God still is concerned with His Earth, his children and the other people of Earth.  Wow.

” It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. But there is a place where someone has testified:
“What is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
 You made him a little lower than the angels;
you crowned him with glory and honor”- Hebrews 2:5-7

You Are an Easter Egg

You’re so sweet, you don’t need candy. You much prefer the taste of artificial coloring instead.

Last night was Maundy Thursday, the day Christians celebrate Jesus sedar meal with his diciples and his prayer in the garden the night he was betrayed to the chief priests.  I went to the Holy Thursday mass at Holy Spirit church.  I was pleasently surpised with the music as well as the expriance I had.  Expriancing the liturgy was like standing in a mist of God’s presence and every second I wanted more.  Drew convinced me into getting my feet washed, so I did.  Today is Good Friday, see article below.  This is the day Christians celebrate the crucifixtion of Jesus.  There was a Good Friday service at my fellowship that my family and I went to.  Something to think about…

spared. everyday.

What happened then when God “made him [Christ] to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21)? The answer is simple: God placed human sin upon God! One God placed human sin upon another God? No, there are not two Gods. The God who is One beyond numbering and yet mysteriously Three reconciled us by shouldering our sin in the person of Christ who is one of the Three. That’s the mystery of human redemption made possible by the mystery of God’s Trinity: The One who was offended bears the burden of the offense.

You Are 16% Addicted to Myspace
Your Myspace addiction factor is: Very Low

When it comes to Myspace, you don’t know what the big deal is. Frankly, you think it’s over hyped.

One Chance was an awsome night.  God did some amazing thing in some peoples lives and I think almost everyone had a good time.  The band Car Full of Mididgets was amazing, again, as it was at Battle of the Bands.  Congradualations to Ms Lindsey Higgns who one the Valley Idol contest.  The I-pod winner was Kara, I don’t know her last name.  Figaro’s is my favorite pizza but I wasn’t hungry. An open invitation to anyone who would like to go to the Easter worship service at Fox Valley Christian Fellowship.  I am siging in the adult choir and we are doing a multimedia.  I have taken an increased apprciation for Holy Week this year.

I realized today that I have drifted from some part of me over the course of the year at Kimberly.  Its time to take that back.  I need to be me.  There is truth.  This truth can be evident when I am the most of me, who God created me to be.  Taking this good truth to push onto others is not me becuase it is not how this truth, I belive, was intended to shout.  It shouts like a tree.  There are headphone stations on this tree, this is were the sound comes from.   Peace to all and to all a good night.

You Are a Lazy Cook

Technically, you’re a cook… in that you do cook the occasional frozen burrito in the microwave.
Get a little adventurous. Sprinkle some fresh cheese on that frozen pizza next time!

radical. everyday.

Jesus came into the world speaking the language, living the customs, and using the forms meaningful for people living in a particular time and place. At the same time, Jesus challenged and inverted many of those same forms, customs, and symbols. He reinterpreted the Passover meal in light of his own death. He overturned the temple tables, healed on the Sabbath, and advocated nonviolent resistance. In many ways these acts were profoundly irrelevant and even dangerous in that culture; some of them still are today. These acts reflected values of the kingdom of God that radically countered those of broader culture.
